A word from our Rector - Rev Jonathan Poston
“I am blessed to be the Rector of the church here in Broad Hinton, a magnificent building and living place of worship. It is not only a place that holds its community in prayer but also is an expression of the historical roots of the village. There is something about our English parish churches that speaks of all those generations, past and present, who make up the community. People often think the Church of England funds its churches but it actually works the other way around. Our congregations and generous donors with their monthly donations pay for its upkeep. This means that when major work needs doing to these Grade 1 listed buildings the only way to fund big projects is to try and source ever decreasing grants and to reach out to the local community. This is why we are asking you to consider helping to keep your village church standing and functioning.”
